RESCHEDULED: Notice of Public Hearing No. 1
The City of Cambridge intends to apply to the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) for funding through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Flexible Grant (Targets of Opportunity), a federally funded program administered by the State. The first of two or more public hearings has been rescheduled due to inclement weather and will now take place on Monday, January 13 at 5:45 PM at City Hall, located at 814 Wheeling Avenue, Cambridge, OH 43725.
This public hearing will provide citizens with pertinent information about the CDBG program, including an explanation of eligible activities and program requirements. The CDBG program can fund a broad range of activities, including: economic development projects; street, water supply, drainage and sanitary sewer improvements, part acquisition and improvements; demolition of unsafe structures; rehabilitation of housing and neighborhood facilities. The activities must be designed to primarily benefit low- and moderate-income persons, aid in the prevention or elimination of of slums and blight or meet an urgent need of the community. Citizens are encouraged to attend thus meeting, which has been rescheduled for Monday, January 13th at 5:45 PM to provide input on the City’s proposed CDBG project and hear about other programs that could be available.
