Reminder to all city residents: Mowing Ordinance – This will serve as your notice of violation if grass exceeds 8 inches.
For the purpose of determining the frequency of cutting and destroying noxious or poisonous weeds and vines as required herein, any noxious or poisonous weeds or vines growing upon any lot or parcel of land and extending to a height of 8 inches shall be deemed noxious and harmful weeds and vines as described in 98.01.
An owner or occupant of a lot or parcel of land located within the corporate limits of the City, shall be notified by the Service/Safety Director or his designate to forthwith cut noxious or harmful weeds, vines, or grasses growing upon his premises. Such notification can be in writing by certified mail, return receipt requested, or by publication of a legal notice in a newspaper of general circulation in the County. The owner or occupant shall cut such weeds, vines, or grasses within 5 days of receipt of notice, or as required by 92.02(B). One notification per calendar year shall be deemed notice for all subsequent violations during the calendar year.
